The 27-year-old, driving into Valhalla Golf Club, reportedly ignored instructions and drove past a police roadblock set up after a pedestrian was struck by a shuttle bus. Scheffler allegedly dragged the officer to the ground, causing injuries. He described the incident as a chaotic misunderstanding. Scheffler faces charges of second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signals, with the assault charge being a felony.
