Scheffler allegedly dragged the officer to the ground, causing injuries. He described the incident as a chaotic misunderstanding. Scheffler faces charges of second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signals, with the assault charge being a felony.
